Articles via Podcast & Interviews (Podcasts & YouTube)

(Following the release of the Write the Word on my Heart Curriculum in Sept 2021, I interviewed for several podcasts and online shows. Many of these involve discussions about family discipleship, doing spiritual disciplines as a family, homeschooling, or Bible memory/Bible study as a family. You’ll hear tidbits from our own household, stories of some really good things my parents did that helped lay a solid foundation in my own life, and lots of failures and lessons learned along the way.)

Teach Them Diligently:

An interview with Leslie Nunnery about family discipleship, reading the word with your kids, and how even the most awkward parts of scripture help us begin difficult conversations with our children.

Homeschool with Moxie:

An interview with Abby Banks about reading the word with your kids, the Write the Word on my Heart Curriculum and some fellowship on the full meaning of Deuteronomy 11’s famous, “Write the Word on my Heart” passage. Why was Moses even giving this command?

Humility and Doxology:

An interview about homeschooling, discipleship at home, and why I’m convinced that God absolutely speaks to our young children. Plus lots of ideas for Bible memory, current reads, and our family’s failproof way to get back on track when things get crazy.

An audio blog of some outside-the-box methods of scripture memory that I discovered when small children rendered my old methods nearly impossible… and a few reasons that *everyone* should try to make time for this oft-neglected spiritual discipline.

Bible Memory Goal:

An interview with Josh Summers about the importance of memorizing the word, and how motherhood showed me the importance of passing along this lesser-practiced spiritual discipline. If you never really got to lay that foundation before having kids, Josh asked that question too… and we got to talk about helpful practices to begin now.
